Rana Safvi (born 1957) is an Indian columnist, writer, and historian based in Delhi. She is the author of ten books including In Search of the Divine[1] and The Forgotten Cities of Delhi. Early life and education
Rana Safvi was born in year 1957 at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh to Syed Asghar Abbas Zaidi, an IPS officer and Azra Zaidi, teacher.[14][15][16]
She completed Master of Arts in Medieval History from the Aligarh Muslim University.
Personal life
Rana Safvi married Syed Gazanfar Abbas Safvi, an engineer from Shamsabad, Uttar Pradesh in 1981 and they have 2 children.
