The Rollei 35 S is a compact 35 mm film camera[1] designed by Heinz Waaske and made by the German camera maker Rollei, in their Singapore factory.[2] It uses a Zeiss-licensed collapsible f2,8/40mm Sonnar lens.[3] From most conventional cameras it differs by having an electronic flash hot shoe on the bottom.[4]
A Rollei 35 S is featured extensively in the anime series Tamayura, where it is used by the main character.
