Ryan Kiera Armstrong[2] (born March 12, 2010)[3] is an American actress.[4] She is known for playing the role of Charlie McGee in the 2022 film Firestarter.[5] She also portrayed Brooke in The Old Way (2023).[6] On television she portrayed Alma Gardner in American Horror Story: Double Feature (2021).

Armstrong made headlines in 2023 when, as a 12-year-old, she was nominated for the 2022 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress for her performance in Firestarter. The nomination was withdrawn following public backlash, and the Golden Raspberry Awards subsequently changed its rules to exclude minors under 18 from future consideration.[7][8]

Personal life

Armstrong was born to Dr. Berta Bacic and actor Dean Armstrong and is the youngest of her five children.[3]
