Saman (Azerbaijani: saman, Uzbek: somon, Uyghur: سامان ) is a Turk given name and surname, meaning "straw" and "golden color."[1][2][3] The word "Samand" is derived from "Saman" and it is used for golden or yellow color horses,[4] also the Milky Way is called samanyolu ( saman = milky + yolu = way ) in Turk languages because of it's yellow color.
