Shadmehr (Persian: شادمهر; also Romanized as Shādmehr; also known as Shādmir and Shalimar)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Shadmehr District of Mahvelat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran,[4] and also serves as the administrative center for Azghand Rural District.[5]
At the 2006 census, its population was 3,369 in 848 households, when it was a village.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,678 people in 1,013 households,[7] by which time the village of Shadmehr had been elevated to the status of a city.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,825 people in 1,151 households.[2]
