Makhdoom Syed Shah Shahbaz Muhammad Dev poori Bhagalpuri (1549-1630) known as Shahbaz Mohammad Bhagalpuri was an Indian Islamic scholar and Sufi saint during the ruling era of Mughal Emperor Jahangir.[1]

Life

Syed Shah Shahbaz Muhammad was a mureed of Shaikh Yaaseen Siwani, a Sufi saint of Suhrawardiyya order.

He was a related to the Suhrawardiyya order of Sufism. He established the Madrasa Jamia Shahbaziya in Bhagalpur.[2][3][4]

He is buried in Khanqah-e-Shahbaziya[5] in Maulachak, Bhagalpur in the Indian state of Bihar.[6][7][8]

His Urs is celebrated on 16th of Safar ul Muzaffar.[9][10]
