Sherry Ramsay Shi is an American model. During Fashion Week 2022, Shi walked the most shows and opened for major designers. Born and raised in Houston, Texas Shi started modelling at the age of 16 and was signed later with IMG Models.[4] She currently ranks in the Top 50 Models at Models.com.[5]
Early life
Sherry Shi was born on 26 February 2002 in Houston, Texas. Her parents are Chinese Immigrants.[6] Shi also has 2 older siblings and was introduced to modelling by her older sister who was also a model.
Career
Shi started modelling professionally at the age of 16 and was later signed to IMG models. Her first modelling job was Alexander Wang’s 2019 resort.[6] Shi was encouraged to take modelling classes at the age of 13, by a scout at her sister's agency. Shi practiced for 4 years to develop her own walk and drew inspiration from models such as Mariacarla Boscono, Natasha Poly, Vittoria Ceretti and Kaia Gerber.[7] In 2021 Shi appeared on the American Vogue's Cover along with Bella Hadid and Precious Lee.[8] Shi walked 39 shows during the fashion week 2022–2023 season, more than any other model.[9]
