Shi Ping (Chinese: 施平, born 1 November 1912) is a Chinese supercentenarian, former academic and political administrator.
Biography
Shi joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1938[1] and became vice president of Beijing Agricultural University in 1953, holding the post until 1960. From 1978 to 1983, he was the CCP Secretary for East China Normal University.
Shi Ping served as Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress from 1983 to 1985.
He is the grandfather of biophysicist and university president Shi Yigong.[2]
