Shota Fujio (藤尾 翔太, Fujio Shōta, born May 2, 2001) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a forward for J2 League club Machida Zelvia on loan from Cerezo Osaka.
Early life
Fujio was born in Osaka Prefecture on May 2, 2001. He joined J1 League club Cerezo Osaka from the youth team in 2020.
Career
Shota made his debut for Gamba Osaka II against Kagoshima United on the 16th of June 2018.[1] He scored his first goal for the club on the 6th of October 2019 against Giravanz Kitakyushu, scoring in the 62nd minute.[2]
Shota scored a last minute goal against Urawa Red Diamonds on his senior team debut after coming onto the pitch as a substitute in the 86' minute.[3]
Shota made his debut for Mito against Montedio Yamagata on the 20th of June 2021.[4] He scored his first goal for the club against Machida Zelvia, scoring in the 21st minute.[5]
Shota made his debut for Tokushima against Zweigen Kanazawa on the 19th of February 2022.[6] He scored his first goal for the club in the 41st minute on the 27th of February 2022.[7]
Shota made his debut for Machida Zelvia against Mito Hollyhock on the 12th of March 2023.[8] He scored his first goal for the club against JEF United on the 3rd of June 2023, scoring in the 90th+6th minute.[9]
International career
Shota has international caps at youth level for Japan.
