Sib and Suran County (Persian: شهرستان سیب و سوران) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Suran.[2]
After the 2006 census, Hiduj District and Sib and Suran District were separated from Saravan County in the establishment of Sib and Suran County, with the city of Suran as its capital.[2]
The National Census in 2011 counted 73,189 people in 17,445 households,[3] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 85,095 in 21,665 households.[4]
Administrative divisions
The population history and structural changes of Sib and Suran County's administrative divisions over two consecutive censuses are shown in the following table. The latest census shows two districts, four rural districts, and two cities.[4]
After the census, Shandan Rural District was established in the Central District, and Paskuh Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Paskuh District. Additionally, the village of Sib was elevated to the status of a city.[5]
