Songoro is an administrative ward in the Meru District of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. The ward covers an area of 114.0 km2 (44.0 sq mi),[1] and has an average elevation of 1,285 m (4,216 ft).[2] The ward is the source of the Kikuletwa River through the Tengeru River as a tributary which eventually leads to the Pangani River. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 11,139.[3]
