Szymbark (Polish pronunciation: [ˈʂɨmbark]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gorlice, within Gorlice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Gorlice and 97 km (60 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
In Middle Ages the Szymbark Castle was residence of several knight families: Gładysz, Stroński, Siedlecki, Bronikowski, Rogoyski, Sękiewicz, and Kuźniarski.
