Taiwo Adebulu is a Nigerian investigative journalist who is the current features and investigations editor at TheCable.

Early life, education and career

Adebulu is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Language Arts and graduated from University of Ibadan where he graduated with a master's degree in Communication Arts.[1][2]

In 2014, Adebulu began his journalism journey as a freelance writer for The Nation and is the current features and investigations editor at TheCable after having worked as the head of fact-check desk.[1][2][3]

Awards and recognitions

In 2018, Adebulu was nominated for the Future Awards Africa Prize for Journalism and was a finalist and won the overall prize at the African Fact-Checking Award and PwC's Media Excellence Award in 2020 and was named TheCables journalist of the year in 2021.[4][5]

In 2023, he was shortlisted for the Fetisov Journalism Awards for his report about students who were kidnapped from the Federal Government College in Birnin-Yauri, Kebbi state in 2021.[4][6]

Adebulu is a Pulitzer Center grantee.[2]
