The upcoming fourth season of the American superhero television series The Boys, the first series in the franchise based on the comic book series of the same name. The books were written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and developed for television by American writer and television producer Eric Kripke. The season is expected to be released in 2024.
The show's fourth season will be produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Original Film, Kripke Enterprises, Kickstart Entertainment and KFL Nightsky Productions. It is set to star Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, Cameron Crovetti, Valorie Curry, and Susan Heyward. In the season, Victoria Neuman is increasingly closer to the Oval Office and under the tight control of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. With more at stake than ever, The Boys and Butcher must find a way to collaborate and save the world before it's too late.

Production
Development
On June 10, 2022, Amazon renewed the series for a fourth season.[6]
Casting
On July 8, 2022, it was announced Nathan Mitchell (who portrayed the masked Black Noir in the first three seasons), despite his character's death in the third season, would continue to portray a new replacement Black Noir in a main capacity in the fourth season of the series.[7] On August 1, 2022, it was reported that Cameron Crovetti had been promoted as a series regular while Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward were cast as new series regulars for the fourth season.[5] On December 1, 2022, Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight joined the cast in undisclosed capacities for the fourth season.[8]
Filming
The fourth season commenced filming on August 23, 2022.[9] Pegg concluded filming his scenes on January 18, 2023.[10] Filming on the finale began on February 12,[11] with Starr concluding filming his scenes on April 4.[12] Filming for the fourth season wrapped on April 12, 2023.[13]
Release
On June 28, 2023, Eric Kripke tweeted that they were withholding release of the new season until the WGA strike was resolved.[14] The season is scheduled to be released in 2024.[3]
