The Mystery of the Strange Bundle is a children's novel written by Enid Blyton and published in 1952. It is the tenth book of The Five Find-Outers mystery series.^[1]

Plot Summary

Mr. Fellows' house was robbed in the middle of the night. Nothing was stolen, but Mr. Fellows was seen fleeing his home while carrying a bundle. The next morning the house was found to be in disarray, and was put under police seal. Mr. Fellows returned to his home two days later, and the Five Find-Outers went to interview him. They found nothing out of the ordinary, except that his house was now neat and tidy. Meanwhile, Fatty disguised himself and threw a bundle of bricks and stones into the river to send Mr. Goon on a wild goose chase. The plan worked, and the next morning Mr. Goon found and retrieved a bundle that seemed to contain clothing for dolls. Mr. Goon was furious, and threw the wet clothes at Fatty and left. However, this was a different bundle that was not the one that Fatty threw. Fatty took the Bundle to his shed, let it dry, examined it, and discovered that the doll clothing belonged to Mr. Eurycles. That night, a thief entered Fatty's House and began searching for something, but was scared away by Fatty's dog. The next day, the thief entered Fatty's shed and found the dry doll clothes. Fatty then called Superintendent Jenks and told him everything. It was later discovered that Mr. Eurycles was helping the Police until he was kidnapped, and while he was being kidnapped Mr. Eurycles threw his doll out of the car as he was being taken. The Police found the Doll and gave it to Mr. Fellows, who was Mr. Eurycles' assistant. The dolls clothes seemed to contain valuable intelligence information which the thieves were after.
