Tonestus, common name serpentweed,[2] is a genus of North American flowering plants in the family Asteraceae.[3][4][5][6][7][2][8]
The name is an anagram of the name of the related genus Stenotus.[3] Nestotus is similarly another anagram of the same name.[9]
