Vanessa Guerra (born September 14, 1989)[1] is a Democratic politician from Michigan who currently serves as the Clerk of Saginaw County.[2] She previously represented the 95th District in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2015 to 2021.

Guerra did not seek re-election to the House of Representatives in 2020 due to term limits, instead challenging incumbent Clerk Michael J. Hanley in the Democratic primary.[3] She defeated Hanley, receiving approximately 67% of the vote to Hanley's 33%. Guerra won the general election unopposed.[4]

Guerra attended Bridgeport-Spaulding Schools and the University of Michigan.

Currently a law student at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Guerra is the minority vice chairwoman of the House Criminal Justice Committee.[5]

Elected at the age of 25, Guerra was the youngest member of the Michigan Legislature until the election of Jewell Jones.[6]
