Vyuham, also known as Vyooham, is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language biographical political thriller film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.[1][2][3][4] The film revolves around the unexpected events that led to former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy untimely death and the subsequent Nexus that were woven by the YSR Congress Party led by his son Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.[5][6][7]

Controversies

Suspension of release

The release of this film was temporarily suspended by Telangana High court until 11 January 2024. The hearing is now scheduled to be held on 8 January 2024[5][6]

Propaganda accusations

Nara Lokesh has expressed concerns that this movie is shot with intentions to tarnish his father's image. CBFC has once rejected certifying the film by raising objections on content, the CBFC has commented the film as an attempt to spread propaganda.[9][10]

Congress leader Nageswara Rao filed a petition in High court of Telangana citing that the film depicts Sonia Gandhi with a negative image.[11]

Certification

The film has received "U" certificate from CBFC.[2][12]
