Warau Michael (Japanese: 笑う大天使, Hepburn: Warau Mikaeru, "Laughing Michael") is a Japanese comedy manga series written and illustrated by Izumi Kawahara. It was serialized in the shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume from 1987 to 1988[1][4] and later collected as three tankōbon volumes by Hakusensha.[1][5] Warau Michael was adapted into a live-action film directed by Issei Oda in 2006.[6] Its soundtrack was composed by rock duo supergroup Metalchicks.[7] The film was screened internationally under the title Arch Angels[2][8] and licensed for distribution in North America by Sentai Filmworks in 2016.[6][9]
