WhatJobs is an international job search platform,[1] that operates in 65 countries.[2] It was originally founded in 2011 as AdView.[1][3]

History

WhatJobs was established by Alex Paterson in May 2011 under name AdView. The platform initially concentrated on delivering fresh job listings to candidates via email and banner advertising.

In 2016, WhatJobs got investment from Shane McGourty, a former executive at Monster.com in Ireland, to expand and enhance its services. In 2019, AdView was rebranded as WhatJobs.[4][5] In November 2020, WhatJobs acquired the Spanish job search group Elcurriculum.com.[6] In September 2020, WhatJobs worked with Google for Jobs to start in seven African countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.

During COVID-19 in April 2020, WhatJobs supported the British National Health Service (NHS). [7][8] The company also helps the Championship Football Team Reading FC.[9][10]

In 2022, WhatJobs News launched a dedicated UK business news platform.[11] In the same year, the company opened an office in Italy.[12]

In 2023, WhatJobs appointed Heiko Zeutschner, the founder of the German job board Gigajob.com, as its new chairman.[11]
