The Wichita Kansas Temple is an announced temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints[3] to be built in Wichita, Kansas.[4][5]

History

The intent to construct the temple was announced on April 3, 2022, by church president Russell M. Nelson during the church's general conference. The temple will be the first in Kansas.[6]

On June 20, 2023, the church announced the temple will be located in the Moorings Plaza Fourth Addition near the Riverview Neighborhood in the north part of Wichita.[7]

Plan

The temple is expected to be one story and will house three ordinance rooms: one sealing room, one baptistry, and one instruction room. It is projected to be approximately 9,950 square feet and will be located on a 6.42 acre site.[8]
