Yayvantepe (Syriac: ܩܪܛܡܝܢ, romanized: Qarṭmin,[2] Kurdish: Qertmîn, Arabic: قرطمين) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Midyat, Mardin Province in Turkey.[3] The village is populated by Arabs and Kurds.[4]
It had a population of 977 in 2022 and is located southwest of the Mor Gabriel Monastery.[1]
Demographics
The two groups living in the village are Arabs and Kurds of which the Arabs are Seyids. Both groups speak Arabic.[4]
