In 2008, at age sixteen, Balassiano formed the group "Haze'evot" along with the three other original members whom she met in highschool[2][3]
Balassiano and Haze'evot toured Europe in 2016 as well in 2018 and performed at venues in Austria,[5] Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.[6][7]
Since its formation in 2008, the band has released two mini albums with a culmination of a full album entitled "Ha'aretz HaShtucha" (The Flat Earth) which was released in 2020.[2]
On October 2nd, 2023, during the holiday of Sukkot, Balassiano, along with her band Haze'evot, made an appearance at the "Rock in the Park" festival in Rishon LeZion. At a preliminary press conference in August, Balassiano expressed her satisfaction with the demand for female representation at a rock festival at what she claimed was a mostly male-dominated arena. Balassiano also expressed her longing for the day when female representation would no longer be an issue.[8]
Solo career
After two years of communal living in south Tel-Aviv with her fellow band members from "Haze'evot", as well as a rift in their relationship, Balassiano decided to relocate to Mitzpe Ramon in the south of Israel where she met Tomer Ben who became her artistic partner in the production of her first solo album which she recorded in her bed room.[1][2]
The first single from her debut album entitled "Ma Osim Im HaYadaim" (What Do You Do With Your Hands) was released on March 26, 2023.[9][1]
On June 11, 2023 she released the second single entitled "KeShe Ata Medaber Iti Al Pachot" (When You Talk To Me About Less).[1]
On January 5th 2024, Yifat Balassiano released her debut album entitled "Ma Osim Im Hayadyaim" (What Do You Do With Your Hands) under the label Nana Disc.[1][10]
