卡內基獎
卡內基獎（），通稱卡內基文學獎、卡內基兒童文學獎，是英國文學獎，1936年成立，用于每年頒給傑出的新兒童文學書籍，相當於美國紐伯瑞獎，由英國圖書館與資訊專業學會（CILIP）頒發[1]。
獎項名稱是為了紀念生於蘇格蘭的美國慈善家安德魯·卡內基(1835–1919)而命名。他在世上的英語地區建立了超過2800間圖書館，當中至少有一半以上為英國圖書館組織機構[1]。
若想得到卡內基獎獲獎資格，書籍必須以英語（原創或翻譯後的第一外語）寫作，且於上個學年間（9月1日至8月31日）在英國或愛爾蘭首次出版；若已在其他國家首次出版，則必須在原始出版日的三個月內，於英國或愛爾蘭再合作出版。[2]
獲獎者將得到一枚金獎章，與能指定捐贈價值500英鎊的書給予任一圖書館。此外，自2016年起獲獎者還能得到來自柯林·米爾斯獎(Colin Mears Award)的5000英鎊現金獎勵。[1][3]
歷史
1936年，英國圖書館協會（the British Library Association，CILIP前身）為慶祝卡內基的百歲冥誕而設置該獎項，[1][4]1937年頒發給亞瑟·蘭塞姆的《Pigeon Post》(1936)，並確認了兩本「受表彰」書籍。第一枚獎章刻有「1936」的日期，但自2007年起，獎章上的日期改為頒發年份為準——在書籍出版的一到兩年後。[5]
直到1969年，得獎者的資格都還限制為作品首次出版於英格蘭的英國作者，[6]第一個非英國籍得獎者為澳洲作家Ivan Southall，得獎作《Josh》(1972)。最初的規則還禁止得獎者未來有二次獲獎機會，[6]第一位二度獲得卡內基獎的作者為彼得·狄金森(Peter Dickinson)，1980、1981年分別以《Tulku》及《City of Gold》連續獲獎。截至2022年為止共有八人重複獲獎。
