拉丁学校

拉丁學校是14世紀至19世紀流行於歐洲的一種語法學校,其教學重點在學習拉丁文的語法及其運用(這是三藝博雅教育的基礎)。它並非僅招收貴族子弟,很多中產階級家庭也會把拉丁學校作為晉升之階,這在他們尋求教會的工作時尤其重要[1]。後來由於本國語言地位的提升,拉丁學校漸漸消失。[2]

拉丁學校的教材主要是古典和部分中世紀作者的作品(大多為寓言和詩歌)。學生們要學會“Ars Dictaminis”的原則,即如何寫作正式的信件[3]
