The 2023–24 Montenegrin First League (also known as 1.CFL) is the 18th season of the first tier association football in the country of Montenegro. The season began on 23 July 2023 and will be ended on 19 May 2024.[1] The winners of the league qualify for a place in the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League.
Budućnost are the defending champions having won the league in the previous season.[2][3]
Teams
Iskra were relegated after eight years in the top flight, having finished last in the previous season.[3] Mladost DG was promoted to 1.CFL for the first time in its history, after earning automatic promotion from the Montenegrin Second League as league champions in the previous season.[4] The remaining nine clubs remained unchanged from last season, as Rudar and Mornar won in relegation play-offs against Kom and Berane, respectively.
