Avandar (Persian: اوندر)[3] is a village in Takab Rural District[4] of Barrud District, Kuhsorkh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,572 in 393 households, when it was in the former Kuhsorkh District of Kashmar County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,274 people in 370 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 996 people in 326 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
In 2018, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Kuhsorkh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Rivash as its capital and only city.[7]
