On 27 July 2023, the United States Department of State approved a possible sale of 21 AAV-7A1 vehicles in three configurations to Romania. This sale includes M2 Browning heavy machine guns, M240 machine guns, Mk 19 grenade launchers, M36E T1 Thermal Sighting Systems, as well as other related elements and logistical support. The total estimated value of the orders is 120.5 million dollars.[47][48]

Each battalion consists of 18 self-propelled howitzers.[199] In September 2023, it was reported that three offers will compete in the program: the K9, the T-155 Fırtına, and the Panzerhaubitze 2000.[202]

Both Blyth and Ramsey were decommissioned in a joint ceremony at Rosyth on 4 August 2021.[209] Following a refit by Babcock both vessels were initially earmarked for the Ukrainian Navy to "enjoy a fresh lease of life in the Black Sea".[210][211] In October 2022 it was reported that both ships would be transferred to the Romanian Navy instead.[212][213] In September 2023, it was announced that Pembroke has also been sold to the Romanian Navy and will be transferred during spring 2024.[214][215]
