Garu (Persian: گرو, also Romanized as Garū, Gerow, and Garrū; also known as Gīrū)[3] is a village in Kabud Gonbad Rural District of the Central District of Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,083 in 440 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,947 people in 484 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,724 people in 509 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
