Karat (Persian: کرات, also Romanized as Karāt; also known as Kārt)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Karat Rural District of the Central District of Taybad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 950 in 191 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 907 people in 225 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 996 people in 281 households.[2]
