Kashkan-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان کشکان جنوبی) is in Shahivand District of Dowreh County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Khatereh.[3]
After the 2006 National Census, Dowreh-e Chegeni District and Veysian District were separated from Khorramabad County in the establishment of Dowreh County, which was divided into three districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Sarab-e Dowreh as its capital.[3]
At the census of 2011, Kashkan-e Jonubi Rural District's population was 6,496 in 1,595 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,379 in 1,794 households. The largest of its 29 villages was Kolehu, with 1,107 people.[2]
