Nowsud (Persian: نوسود, also Romanized as Nowsūd and Nawsūd)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Nowsud District of Paveh County, Kermanshah province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,562 in 438 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,730 people in 550 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,949 people in 629 households.[2]
