Shalami Rural District (Persian: دهستان شلمی) is in Golidagh District of Maraveh Tappeh County, Golestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Arab Qarri Hajji.[3]

After the 2006 National Census, Maraveh Tappeh District was separated from Kalaleh County in the establishment of Maraveh Tappeh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Maraveh Tappeh as its capital and only city at the time.[3]

At the National Census of 2011, its population was 11,776 in 2,768 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 12,041 in 3,286 households. The largest of its 26 villages was Aq Emam, with 1,624 people.[2]
