Abaru (Persian: ابرو, also Romanized as Abarū, Abrū, Eberoo, and Eberū)[3] is a village in Abaru Rural District of the Central District of Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,486 in 773 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,783 people in 1,034 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,585 people in 1,013 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
