Baktash District (Persian: بخش بکتاش) is in Miandoab County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bagtash,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 3,523 people in 1,065 households.[3]
In May 2020, Zarrineh Rud Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Baktash District, which was divided into two rural districts.[2] In February 2021, the village of Bagtash was elevated to the status of a city.
