The Central District of Chenaran County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان چناران) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Chenaran.[3]
At the National Census in 2006, its population was 73,977 in 18,137 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 84,770 people in 22,527 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 88,581 inhabitants in 24,914 households.[2]
In August 2019, Radkan Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Radkan District and Seyyedabad District, each of which was divided into two rural districts.[6]
