Chendar District (Persian: بخش چندار) is in Savojbolagh County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kuhsar.[3]
At the 2006 census, its population was 21,291 in 6,130 households, when the county was in Tehran province.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the population had increased to 28,841 in 9,499 households,[2] by which time the county had separated from the province and become a part of recently established Alborz province.[5]
