Mohammadabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان محمدآباد) is in the Central District of Zarand County, Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mohammadabad.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 13,252 in 3,232 households.[3] There were 16,399 inhabitants in 4,520 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 21,440 in 6,043 households. The largest of its 26 villages was Shah Jahanabad, with 5,708 people.[2]
