Nakhlestan Rural District (Persian: دهستان نخلستان)[3] is in the Central District of Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Korit.[5]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Yazd province) was 3,122 in 873 households.[6] There were 3,446 inhabitants in 1,021 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,081 in 1,001 households, by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of South Khorasan province.[8] The largest of its 21 villages was Korit, with 1,657 people.[2]
