Qarah Aghaj (Persian: قره اغاج, also Romanized as Qarah Āghāj and Qareh Āghāj)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Baranduzchay-ye Shomali Rural District of the Central District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,554 in 413 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,246 people in 411 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,505 people in 492 households.[2]
