Sarkhun Rural District (Persian: دهستان سرخون) is in the Central District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Sarkhun.
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Qaleh Qazi District) was 5,184 in 1,197 households.[3] There were 6,287 inhabitants in 1,756 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the rural district had been transferred to the Central District.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,548 in 2,188 households. The largest of its nine villages was Sarkhun, with 5,314 people.[2]
