Abish Ahmad (Persian: آبش احمد; also Romanized as Abīsh Aḩmad; also known as Ābesh Aḩmad)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Abish Ahmad District of Kaleybar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran,[4] and also serves as the administrative center for Abish Ahmad Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,329 in 526 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,318 people in 591 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,715 people in 789 households.[2]

Language

It is an Azeri Turkic speaking village.
