Shadegan (Persian: شادگان; also Romanized as Shādegān and Shādgān; formerly, Fallehiyeh, Fallābīyeh, and Fallāḩīyeh (فلاحية))[3] is a city in the Central District of Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran, and serves as both capital of the county and of the district.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 48,642 in 8,600 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 52,786 people in 12,088 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 41,733 people in 11,404 households.[2]
