Khanafereh District (Persian: بخش خنافره) is in Shadegan County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Khanafereh.[3]
After the 2006 National Census, Khanafereh Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Khanafereh District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]
The census in 2011 counted 26,133 people in 5,861 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 24,733 inhabitants in 6,368 households.[2]
