Barku Sara (Persian: باركوسرا, also Romanized as Bārkū Sarā; also known as Bargū Sarā and Bārgū Sarā)[3] is a village in Shirju Posht Rural District of Rudboneh District, Lahijan County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,645 in 478 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,451 people in 493 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,368 people in 520 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
