Layalestan (Persian: ليالستان, also Romanized as Layālestān, Līālestān, and Līyālestān; also known as Leyarestān, Līārestān, and Līarestān)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Layalestan Rural District of the Central District of Lahijan County, Gilan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,851 in 558 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,831 people in 597 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,601 people in 616 households.[2]
