Sustan (Persian: سوستان, also Romanized as Sūstān; also known as Sīstān)[3] is a village in Layl Rural District of the Central District of Lahijan County, Gilan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 4,341 in 1,229 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,069 people in 647 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,336 people in 777 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
