The Bayern Munich–Real Madrid rivalry or European Clásico is an international club rivalry between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. It is the most often played match in the Champions League/European Cup with 26 matches.[1]
Due to the tie being closely contested, Madrid supporters often refer to Bayern as the "Bestia negra" ("Black Beast").[2] Despite facing each other the most in the competition's history, both clubs have never met in the final of a Champions League or European Cup.[3][4][5][6][7]
