Chelqai (Persian: چلقايي, also Romanized as Chelqā’ī)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Benajuy-ye Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Bonab County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,573 in 1,142 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,662 people in 1,371 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,412 people in 1,185 households.[2]
