Junqan Rural District (Persian: دهستان جونقان) is in Junqan District of Farsan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Rastab.[3]
After the 2006 National Census, Mizdej-e Sofla Rural District and the city of Junqan were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Junqan District, which was divided into two rural districts and the city.[3]
There were 1,225 inhabitants in 346 households at the following census of 2011[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,750 in 816 households. The largest of its four villages was Rastab, with 1,582 people.[2]
